Although the Super Genki Dama is complete, Vegeta is too weak to move away from the blast zone. Goku grits his teeth in frustration, unwilling to let his friend die, especially so soon after his reprieve from death and Hell itself.
"S-Stupid bastard!! Don't worry about me! Just hurry and get him, dammit!"
In Hell, Freeza continues to provide a running commentary.
"It's that softness that will cost you your lives!"
Realizing what they're trying to do, Majin Boo begins hammering Goku with his ki as he stands atop Vegeta - his guaranteed safe-zone.
"No! Goku, if you're finished off, then that Genki Dama you worked so hard for means nothing!" Kaio-sama laments from Grand Kaio's World.
Majin Boo is in control. That is, until...
... Mr. Boo, like a chubby phoenix, rises from his would-be grave...
... and launches himself at Majin Boo, knocking him from Vegeta!!
Mr. Satan rushes in to scoop up Vegeta and run away, but weeps as Majin Boo makes quick work of his friend. In the end, it's all Mr. Boo could do to help, before being easily blasted away from Majin Boo.
However, now Majin Boo is alone!
... And Goku can throw the Genki Dama!
The two powers collide as Majin Boo does his mighty best to hold back the Genki Dama, and Goku tries to muster the strength from his severely limited ki to push back at him.
Back on Earth, atop Kami's Temple, Kuririn, Videl, Chichi, Bulma, and the rest are reunited with Piccolo, Gohan, Trunks, and Goten.
Chichi is initially jealous of the reception Videl gets from Gohan instead of her, but Bulma reminds her she doesn't exactly want to give him a mother-complex. Plus, Goten and Trunks are still of an age where they need their moms most of all!
But in the Kaioshin Realm, things are looking dire as Majin Boo successfully begins to push the Genki Dama away. Goku simply doesn't have enough energy to fight back. Vegeta urges Mr. Satan to get the Earth to lend more genki, but Kaio tells them that would kill the Earthlings, who still haven't recovered from giving their genki mere minutes ago. Realizing this isn't a dream, and despite being under threat of physical retaliation from a desperate Vegeta, Mr. Satan refuses outright to sacrifice the people of Earth by asking them for more power. Vegeta screams that he doesn't understand, they can always bring them back with... the...
the Dragon Balls.
For their third wish, Vegeta asks Dende to restore Goku's power to maximum!
An easy enough task for Porunga!
"Thank you, Dragon Balls!"
With his strength restored, Goku launches the Super Genki Dama back at Majin Boo!
And Boo no longer has anywhere to run.
"You were awesome! You fought well, and all by yourself! You changed forms so many times... So much so that I was finally sick of it."
"This time, be reborn as a good guy. I want to fight you, one-on-one. I'll be waiting for you! And I'll have gotten much, much better!"
"Until then!"
And with the roar of the Super Genki Dama, Majin Boo, a beast created from chaos, for chaos, is put down by the hopes and dreams of all those who call Earth their home.
