Kami's Temple and the Z-warriors have been found by the new, improved, purely evil Super Boo. And he wants what the "guy whose hair turned gold" promised him; An epic fight.
Piccolo panics, needing more time to prepare Goten and Trunks if they're to have any chance at defeating this inexplicably more powerful Majin Boo. In his panic, he points out to Boo that many humans still remain on Earth - why doesn't he finish exterminating them, then he can have his fight? Kuririn gawks, but Piccolo whispers for him to get the boys and take them to the Room of Spirit and Time... where they uh, probably should have been training this entire time but okay.
Kuririn wastes 20 minutes trying to shake them away, instead of just dumping their asses in the RoSaT and waking them up in there where time isn't of consequence and... oh whatever.
As for Chichi, if not for Gyumao holding her back and Piccolo destroying her weapon/mop, she would have attacked Boo in an effort to avenge Gohan/protect Goten. (We see clearly where Gohan gets his anger management issues from.)
After walking the circled length of Kami's Temple grounds a few times, staring down at the Lower Realm, Super Boo makes good on his promise (to Piccolo, apparently) to exterminate every living human on Earth.
99.9999% of Earth's remaining population is, indeed, exterminated by Boo's massive barrage of ki attacks. Apart from those in the Heavenly Realm, only a few others remain.
The beams intentionally curve away from Mr. Satan, Boo's pup, and Boo's house.
And using their B-Team abilities to stay alive but not relevant, Tenshinhan and Chaozu dodge the blasts.
And while not strictly canon, I like to believe Tao Pai Pai and Cake Girl made it out okay, too. (And I guess #17 too, huh? I always forget he's still alive and just... hanging out in the woods, waiting for DBGT to drag him out of obscurity and into mediocrity.)
Piccolo gives Boo one hour before his fight with Gotenks will start.
But upon seeing how long an hour takes, Super Boo objects, until
Videl tells him to STFU and deal, and Piccolo points out she's Mr. Satan's daughter.
Reluctantly, Boo decides he'll wait... but swears after an hour, he'll kill them all if they don't let him fight Gotenks... even Satan's daughter.
Meanwhile, in the Kaioshin Realm...
As Gohan and the others sense humanity being snuffed out on Earth, and Majin Boo's "Super" power up take place, Gohan's legendary anger boils up as Ol' Dirty Bastard doesn't seem to be taking his job seriously.
"There's no way I'm going to be able to beat Majin Boo with all this nonsense of...!"
"... yours?"
Then it occurs to Gohan, Goku, and the others that ODB's power up is very real, and that Son Gohan is becoming one incredible guy! Pacified, Gohan sits back down and focuses his mind.
Back on Earth...
