Top Dragon Ball GT ep 16 - Machine Planet M2... The Turncoat, Giru?! by Top Blogger
Our episode begins with the SS Capsule Corp. in peril as it's chased through space by a fleet of enemy starships. Pan tries her best to outmaneuver and fire back at the horde of enemies, but it's simply too much for a ship that was never meant for combat to begin with.
Our heroes are shot from the sky, exploding in a final shower of fireworks.
In reality, it's just a video game she's playing with Giru, and doing rather poorly at. Like, 0 wins, 50 loses poorly. Yet her competitive nature makes her unable to quit so she keeps challenging him. Trunks tries to talk Giru into throwing a match for her, as an olive branch. While Goku tells Pan she should probably just give up (how very un-Goku of you, Goku). In the end, they keep playing, and Pan keeps losing... Giru not understanding the olive branch metaphor.
Later that evening, Giru becomes strange as they pass over a planet. He stares out at it with his single HAL 9000 eye, bleeping softly. Pan asks about it and he tells her that this is his home world... where he was born.
The next day at breakfast, Pan talks Trunks into heading back to the world they passed the night before, so Giru can visit the place he was born. Trunks is hesitant, with Dr. Myuu about looking for Black Star Dragon Balls, but if it's only for a day, he's fine with it.
Meanwhile, Giru's homeworld is Planet M2.
The planet where General Rild waits to capture the GTang under Dr. Myuu's orders.
Dr. Myuu appears in a hologram to remind Rild that he and the other Machine Mutants are to take Goku and the gang alive and captured. And then they share a diabolical laugh.
The gang land on Planet M2, finding that the whole world, down to its fruit, is made of metal.
And for some reason, being home makes Giru react strangely.
They find themselves in an abandoned town until Goku calls out.
Then a bunch of machines like Giru appear.
Even stranger is that they all seem to know Giru, as his production number DB4649T2006RS, and keep congratulating him on a job well done and that General Rild will be most pleased. Confused, since he doesn't appear to remember any of these other robos, Giru flies off to find out more.
... but actually, he reports to General Rild!!!
Giru comes back to the others and leads them down a spooky alleyway, where strange shadows suddenly appear on the wall and Goku gets a bad feeling.
Of course, bad feelings make Goku wakuwaku as fuck.
Suddenly, Machine Mutants appear: The M2 Commandos, Mega Cannon Sigma!!

In a flash of metal (and Janemba warping SFX!!) one of the Commandos captures Trunks and Goku as they protect Pan, then knock them out with sleeping gas. Another makes a different attempt to grab Pan, but she just barely escapes. It's then the turncoat, DB4649T2006RS, convinces the others to leave Pan since she can't get off the planet without alerting their security forces anyway. It's best to take these ones to General Rild, and get their three Dragon Balls.
(For my One Piece fans, Giru is Nami.)
