Top Dragon Ball GT ep 26 - Gohan and Goten... The Worst of Fights Between Brothers?! by Top Blogger
Piccolo has a bad feeling about this episode.
Goten and Baby have a pretty tame fight over Satan City. Mostly it consists of Baby darting at Goten, trying to push him into using his full "Saiya power" so he can take over him. Apparently, if he takes over someone when their ki is "wide open", it makes it that much easier to possess them. (I guess it makes them unable to push him out, a la Trunks, if he can get in when they're their strongest.) Goten goes Super Saiyan and uses a Kamehameha on Baby, and it's just what Baby needs to take over his body.
(Baby shooting up through the Kamehameha is pretty fucking cool tbh)
Palace tries to congratulate "Goten" on a job well done (seeing him fly around, turn Super Saiyan, and shoot beams from his hands doesn't even phase her so)...
... but Baby wants no part of her girl cooties.
Meanwhile in space, Pan, Trunks, and Giru celebrate that they need only one more Black Star Dragon Ball before they can return to Earth. Goku, however, mopes because he doesn't trust that Baby is just laying low. Pan tells him he worries too much.
(Son Grouchu is my favorite Marx Brother.)
Back on Earth, Baby Goten tracks down the Capsule Corporation building using Goten's memories, identifying that this is where the world's strongest Saiyan, Vegeta, lives. Instead he finds that Vegeta isn't home, but his "brother", Gohan, is there instead.
And Gohan realizes there's something wrong with his little brother.
(But not until after Goten sucker-punches him in the gut.)
They have a badly choreographed fight in the wilderness (Gohan's home field advantage),
where Baby Goten unleashes the full depth of his power,
causing Gohan to turn Super Saiyan to defend himself,
which results in Baby possessing him.
In a strange twist of trope, Piccolo shows up to save Goten from Gohan - but of course he can tell someone has taken hold of Gohan's body. Baby Gohan becomes yet one more villain who can uses the Kamehameha, which he unleashes against Piccolo in a scene not unlike the part in Cha La Head Cha La.
Or that bit in DBZ Movie 3.
(Toei, you need to stop being mean to Piccolo.)
But even with this stronger body, Baby only cares about getting Vegeta's vastly superior Saiya power!!
Just as a side note, Gohan only lost to Baby Goten because he wouldn't do anything that would hurt Goten's body. He really needed Goten in Baby's body there to coach him.
