Story
With their victory assured, Tenshinhan, Kuririn, Yamcha, and Piccolo carry Gohan, #18, and Trunks up to Kami's Palace.
But one hero doesn't have the heart to join them.
Mourning not just the loss of a rival, or a friend, Vegeta has lost his goal. His purpose.
"I'm never fighting again."
After the battlefield is cleared, Mr. Satan takes credit for the whole thing.
And the world celebrates their savior.
Dende easily restores Gohan's health, allowing Gohan to explain to them how it was his father that spoke to him from the Next World, encouraging him to muster up the strength to beat Cell. Piccolo couldn't be prouder of his young pupil. Then, Dende turns his attention to #18.
"This is Kami-sama's Palace. It's alright. Gohan defeated Cell."
"Gohan did?"
"That's right! He's gotten UNBELIEVABLY strong! It won't do you any good to go on a tear now!"
(Real Lion Heart you've got there, Yamcha.)
Piccolo explains to 18 that Cell spit her up, then Kuririn defended her with all his might.
(More like Piccobro, amirite?)
Then Gohan blurts out that Kuririn has a crush on her.
(Guess he never taught Gohan about the Bro Code.)
18, however, remains skeptical.
"Hmph! I don't know where you get off, Mister! But it sure won't be with me, later."

"Why, that jerk!!"
"What kind of attitude is that?! I'm going to kick her butt!"
With that business done, our heroes finally summon Shen Long.
And with their first wish, they restore Trunks and the rest of the lost lives. With their second wish, Dende recommends if they want to bring back Goku, to wish one of them to Namek, ask Porunga to restore him, then bring them back to Earth. But then from Kaio-sama, Goku calls to tell them that just won't do.
"Sorry, guys. I can't come back this time. Toriyama won't let me."
"... who's Toriyama?"
"A villain not even you'll be able to defeat, Gohan."
With one wish remaining, Yamcha wonders if he can get his new girlfriend something.
But Kuririn cock blocks him to remove the tiny nukes from inside #17 and #18.
Turns out, 18 has been watching the whole time.
Kuririn, in raw sweetness, wished for 17's bomb to be removed so they could be happy, together.
"Idiot! 17's my twin brother! But don't let that give you any ideas!"
"About me... riding your sexy bald face... tonight... at 8..."
"... I'll knock on your window."

With that, the heroes return home. Gohan gives the terrible news to his mother, Yamcha tells Trunks about how Vegeta reacted when Cell killed him, #18 and Kuririn break Kame House, and they all meet the next day at Capsule Corp. for Goku's funeral, and to see Trunks... back to the future.
