Story
Planet Earth rumbles as Cell gathers his latent ki into a massive, Solar System-ending Kamehameha. With half of his ki drained, one useless limb, and waves of regret washing over him, Son Gohan has resolved to embrace his death. It's his fault, he realizes. If he'd only been smarter and fought without underestimating his opponent, the Earth would be safe, and his father would still be alive.
"Don't give up! That ain't like you, Gohan!"
"F-father? Where are you?"
From the Next World, Son Goku speaks to his son through Kaio-sama. He says not to cry for him, as he died without regret. Instead, to face Cell with all he has, as the strongest in the universe. And if he must cry, avenge him.
Suddenly, Gohan's ki spikes dramatically...
...and he begins to gather all his latent energy...
... into one final, mighty Kamehameha.
Gohan and Cell's Kamehameha's clash over the surface of the Earth, in a deadly tug-o-war that Son Gohan seems to be losing. Unwilling to let him try or die on his own, first Piccolo, then Tenshinhan, Yamcha, and Kuririn leap into action, pressing their own ki against Cell, hoping, praying, that it gives Gohan the small edge he needs to overtake Dr. Gero's monster.
"Gohan..."
"I'm not about to let you die alone!"
"You were the first one to ever speak to me like a real person."
"Why am I even trying to get back up again? It would be easier to stay down..."
"In the past, I would have long since given up."
"It's because of Goku and Gohan I've gotten like this."
"I'm holding it against you two."
"I've walked the way of the warrior..."
"...aspiring to be like Goku."
"It's because of Goku that I'm even here at all now."
"And now that I've let Goku die, I cannot allow his son to die in front of me as well!"
"Goku, Gohan is incredible..."
"He is every bit your child."
"I sure love you guys."
Son Gohan, Son Goku's child, and Son Goku's friends stand firmly against the might of Cell. But it is Vegeta, the soldier from another world who came to this one to destroy it, who finally breaks Cell of his hold against Gohan. Avenging the loss of #16, of Trunks, of Son Goku, the remaining Z Fighters give it their all -- and Gohan, the strongest fighter in the universe, overcomes Dr. Gero's Cell, at long last.
"I can't believe a runty kid with a shattered arm beat me with a Kamehameha!!"
"... I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T SEE THIS COMING!"
"THIS IS... MY FINAL... CHIKUSOOOOOOOOOOOO"
And with that great effort, the battle is won.
"I'm gonna sleep for a week now."
What's cut?
DBZ 190, Satan keeps insisting the Kamehamehas are a trick.
Dende frets over Gohan.
The Namekians feel Cell's ki from Namek.
Cell recalls his humble beginnings, again.
This time reflecting on how Gero died in his timeline,
ensuring he grew up without a father,
and then how he used a time machine to kill them back.
Also in 190, all the muggles feel Earth tremble.
While Baba shows Chichi and Gyumao the struggle.
And Chichi, slowly, begins to root for her son.
DBZ 191, more Satan crew shenanigans are cut.
More muggles feeling the Earth rumble.
Chichi, Gyumao, and Baba watch the battle as their house quakes.
And Vegeta finally snaps, gaining his resolve back.
