Story
Six months have gone by, so Gohan is a badass now.
Tenshinhan, Kuririn, Yamcha, Chaozu, and Yajirobe train with Kami-sama.
And Piccolo and Gohan finally start combat training.
Meanwhile, Goku finally reaches the end of Serpentine Road and finds Kaio-sama's world.
... which has ridiculous gravity.
He meets a monkey whom he thinks is Kaio.
But he isn't.
So the real Kaio accepts Goku as his student, after a Trial by Joke, then sends Goku chasing after Bubbles the monkey as training.
Spank that monkey, Goku. The Earth depends on it.
What's cut?
Whoo boy. So much is cut. Like, several entire episodes.
Wherein Gohan makes friends with a robot who dies, and I cry like a tiny infant.
In which Gohan makes friends with a bronto who is killed by Pee Rex, and I cry like an even tinier infant.
Most of episode 11 doesn't make the cut, including the main plot of the episode where Vegeta and Nappa cause a prison revolt on a planet of bug people that results in a corrupt Warlord King being overthrown, and peace coming back to the civilization...
... only for Vegeta to blow up their planet immediately afterwards.
"Just bein' a dick."
Also, Lunch is there. (Remember Mushroom Desert? Aww.)
Even more Lunch subplot.
Wherein Goku goes to Hell (and Lunch points a shotgun at Bora.)
For episode 14, the main plot of the episode is cut, where Princess Snake tries to seduce Goku (and eat him.)
This whole episode is cut, but absolutely nothing happens during it anyway, so nothing is lost.
A shockingly mature, slower episode, where Gohan meets some orphans one his way back to Mr. Paozu before coming to the conclusion that he wants to help fight the Saiyans.
The main plot for episode 17 is cut, where Kuririn, Ten, Yamcha, and Chaozu go back in time to face off against ancient Saiyans (and lose, terribly).
And lastly, a weird subplot in episode 18 is cut, where Goku's old space pod creates an artificial full moon that turns Gohan into an Oozaru.
And that's how you pack 10 episodes worth of material into an episode where, admittedly, not a lot happens.
