Story

After their battle with Vegeta, Goku, Kuririn, and Gohan max and relax in the hospital.

Bulma shows up to demonstrate how she figured out Nappa's spacepod control.

Except instead she blows up his pod.

Oops.

Luckily, Popo is there, creeping on them.

Popo takes Bulma to Yunzabit Heights, at the edge of the world.

There, Kami-sama grew up. And there, his spaceship he arrived on Earth in rests.

Testing it, Bulma and Popo are taken instantly to Jupiter.

So it's off to Planet Namek to find the Dragon Balls!

Gohan, Kuririn, and Bulma are off on an adventure that, this time, is surely free of danger!

... right?

"I wouldn't count on it."

What's cut?

In episode 38, there's more scenes with scientists trying to identify Nappa's spacepod.

And plenty of hospital shenanigans, like Chichi making Gohan study.

And Goku's first scenes that suggest he's deathly afraid of hospitals.

In episode 39, we see Dr. Brief and Bulma making alterations of Kami's space craft.

And a side plot with Gohan proving to himself (and his dad) he's ready for the adventure to Namek, to bring back Piccolo-san.
