Story

Goku finally catches Bubbles, with his weighted gear on.

Then proceeds to outsmart Kaio-sama's cricket, Gregory.

 Finally moving onto Kaioken training with the master himself!

 Back on Earth, the Earthlings graduate from Kami-sama's teachings.

And Gohan continues to show up his teacher, Piccolo.

Which is all well and good, but the Saiyans are about to arrive... a whole month early.

Oops.

What's cut?

Not very much, except for a sizable section of episode 20 where Kaio-sama explains the rise in notoriety of the Saiyan people. Although Kaio seems to blame Planet Vegeta's own Kami on the destruction of the planet, the tale otherwise seems to line up with the Daizenshuu.
